Umi Midi Dress - Black

A thin line of white runs against the black on the Umi Midi Dress, which is the only decoration it allows itself.

The neckline is a v. The white contrast trim outlines the edges of the dress, and a split at the side opens the midi hem enough to walk properly. The fabric is a stretch knit cut to a bodycon fit, so the dress follows the body's own line rather than imposing one on it, and it is left unlined.

It is a date night dress that asks very little of you: dinner, a bar afterwards, a taxi in between. The trim already supplies the contrast, so keep the shoe and the bag in one tone and skip the necklace entirely. A jacket over the top works if the evening cools off, and the dress does not look overdressed underneath one.
