Duncan Knit Dress - Cream

Cream is a difficult colour to keep quiet, and the Duncan Knit Dress manages it by leaving almost everything else out.

The design is deliberately spare: a round neckline, long sleeves, and a midi length with nothing interrupting it. The fabric is stretch ribbed knit, so the dress holds a soft vertical line and moves with the body rather than against it. It is unlined, which keeps the whole thing light to wear.

This is a casual dress in the most usable sense, the one that works on a day with no plan and still holds up if the day acquires one. It takes a boot and a long coat when it is cold, a flat sandal when it is not.
